What time will the band arrive to set up the equipment and how long will set up take?
The standard arrival time is 7pm with an 8pm start. Although we can usually set up very quickly we always allow ourselves an hour to ensure we are ready to go at 8pm.
Will the band perform earlier or play on later?
Yes. Our standard performance times are 8pm start (7pm arrival) to 12.30am finish. If you require us to start the performance earlier or play on later we will do so at an extra hourly rate.
Will you play a song of our choice for our first dance?
Yes. When you book the band, let us know your first dance choice. If you are unsure you can let us know at a later date (latest 4 weeks notice before the day of your event).
What is the balance of ceilidh and disco throughout the night on the 3 piece option?
Usually, we kick the night off with ceilidh until the buffet. We then play some background music during the buffet. The second half can have more ceilidh with a short disco at the end, entirely disco or any other combination, the choice is yours and can even be decided on the night.
What is the balance of ceilidh, covers and disco throughout the night on the 4 piece options?
You can choose how much you want of each. I would suggest starting with ceilidh in the first half (after your first dance) until to buffet. Set dances will force people onto the dance floor and avoid a 'who will dance first' scenario. We can then kick off the second half with covers till finish with perhaps one last 'Strip the Willow' towards the end of the evening.
Although the disco is included for free we would normally only use this during the buffet as most people would prefer to hear the live band. Some people book the package for an extra hour and finish with an hours Disco on top of the other entertainment.
What happens if a band member is sick or unable to make the gig?
We are a healthy bunch of guys but now and again someone can be unable to make a gig due to health or other reasons, but we have multiple musicians standing in the wings in case of this situation ready to cover. Although unlikely, in this situation the musicians covering would be every bit as good as the one they were replacing.
"Best wedding band ever. Thank you so much Covered in Ceilidh for a brilliant night."
