About Cadence Strings – professional string quartet based in Barcelona, Spain
The string quartet Cadence Strings, which consists of Alvar (violin), Annabel (violin), Adrià (viola), and Denisse (cello), was founded in the city of Barcelona in 2018.
They have a wide range of music in their repertoire, from classical to contemporary, including soundtracks and tango.
We're regularly booked to perform for weddings and events at Castell de Sant Marçal in Cerdanyola del Vallès, Spain.
They worked together to create the album Playback Maracas & The Electronic Moon Orchestra (El Segell, 2018), and they have performed on prestigious stages like Razzmatazz 2 and at the Barcelona Acció Musical festival (La Mercè, 2019), which was captured on camera and live broadcast by Betevé (Barcelona TV).
They gave four shows in Barcelona's Teatre Gaud in November 2019 that included arrangements of Classic Rock songs as well as pieces by Igor Stravinsky and Astor Piazzolla.
On the audiovisual side, they made an appearance in an episode of the first season of Merl: Sapere Aude (Movistar+), when they gave a live performance of a section of Franz Schubert's Quartet No. 3 in B flat major.
They have performed at the Ciclo Resonare 2021's opening concert at the Centre Civic Sant Mart in Barcelona and have signed on to perform at private events for organisations like Fira Nuvis in Pula las Arenas and Weddings & Events in Southern France and the Costa Brava.
Here are just some of the locations where I've been booked by clients on FixTheMusic for weddings and events...
"Absolutely amazing! We hired Cadence Strings for our celebratory ball and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful performance. They were professional, organised and committed to making our night perfect. They were also just the most lovely people and I couldn't recommend them more!"
"Alvar and his team are so easy and straightforward to work with. They were the key element to make our event special and memorable. I found them here on FixTheMusic. I had direct contact with them and they have been super responsive. I have had a very good experience working with them and I hope our paths will cross again!"
"Cadence Strings were wonderful. The music was exquisitely beautiful whilst the photos were taken to entertain the guests whilst having drinks and canapés. Their repertoire was amazing, classic and modern. I loved them!"
"We want to say a massive thank you to Cadence Strings, they were fantastic when they played at our wedding and really added to the day. It wasn't just about the day though, it was all the extra effort to help refine what we wanted for our wedding. Their repertoire is extensive and varied, but Álvar helped suggest themes for each of the sets we had (ceremony, drinks reception, dinner) and they were also able to add a couple of additional numbers that we requested specially. A really lovely and talented group of musicians who helped make our day that little bit more special. We already have people who attended asking about them for doing other events, so high praise indeed!"
