About Cellissimo – professional Cellist based in Tuscany, Italy

Brazilian-born cellist and composer Cellissimo earned a degree in Composition from UNIRIO (Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro).

Recognized as "one of the most promising Brazilian cellists" by FNAC, Lisbon, Cellissimo is an official endorser of REMIC Microphones (Denmark) and a recipient of the prestigious PROAC 2022 award.

Now based in Tuscany, Cellissimo's musical journey has spanned far beyond Brazil, with studies in Portugal, Germany and Austria.

Throughout an international career, Cellissimo has performed with numerous renowned orchestras worldwide, including OSBJ (Rio de Janeiro), Volkshochschule (Karlsruhe), Pro-Arte Orchester and Darstellende Kunst Orchester (Vienna), and Académica da Metropolitana (Lisbon).

Notable stages have included the UNESCO Bienal Peace in Luanda and the Virada Cultural Paulista. Cellissimo is the creator of the innovative concept CELLOOP, a "one-man-orchestra concert" that merges cello and looping technology.

This concept has evolved to incorporate keyboard and electric guitar, transforming each performance into a complete one-man-band experience; bridging the worlds of classical and pop with a signature sound rooted in Tuscany. With three albums in the catalog and a history of global tours; including the IAMCHRIS: Citizen of the World tour, launched in 2017. Cellissimo brings a wealth of experience to every stage.

Beyond performance work, Cellissimo demonstrated a deep social commitment in 2014 by founding the Gratefulpath project, a concert tour across eight European countries dedicated to raising funds for the eradication of poliomyelitis.

What are your normal set lengths?

- 90 minutes maximum.

Do you have different line-up options?

- Yes, I have the romantic cello (which it the set list I putted above) I have the Cello Storm with my own composition and metal/rock/pop set list, and I have Epic Scores with is music from video Games/ Series & Movies,

Do you provide your own sound & lighting equipment? What is it or what's included in the price?

- If the event is in italy I can have everything by my own, if I need to fly then they need to sort it out.

Do you provide a laptop playlist / DJ service in between and after your live sets?

- I could do that, but I'm not a DJ, I could just let some music on my laptop playing.

What time do you normally arrive at the venue to set up?

- Romantic cello - 30 minutes is fine / cello storm and epic scores 4 hours before

How long does it take for you to set up, sound check etc?

- 30 minutes for the sound and 3:30 hours to set up my lights and the cello storm and Epic scores, but if I could work with the lights that are already setup before the just 1 hour is fine.

Can you learn song requests (e.g. a first dance)?

- Yes, but with and additional cost on top of it, something around 75 euros per additional song.

How much space do you need for your performance area?

- Romantic cello 2m x 3m is fine, for Cello storm and epic scores 4m x 3m should be fine

Are you comfortable performing outdoors or in unusual settings (e.g. barns, beaches)?

- I'm ok as long as I'm protected from rain and son. But beaches ruin my strings and I need to buy new ones after that so I'll need to charge 300 euros on top to play on a beach.
