About DJ Galata – professional Events & Weddings DJ based in Istanbul, Turkey
DJ Galata is an Istanbul-based open-format DJ, producer and wedding music coordinator with more than 20 years of experience.
He has performed at many of Türkiye’s leading luxury weddings and private celebrations, as well as destination events across Europe.
His international experience includes weddings and private events in Rome, Vienna, Milan, Lake Como, Venice, Berlin, Samos, Athens, Rimini, Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast.
He has performed at prestigious venues and locations including Çırağan Palace in Istanbul and the Belvedere Palace in Vienna.
Every performance is planned around the couple, their guests and the natural flow of the celebration.
Rather than playing a fixed set, DJ Galata prepares each wedding individually, discussing must-play songs, songs to avoid, musical preferences and the different nationalities and age groups attending.
His sets move comfortably between house, disco, pop, dance classics, Turkish favourites and current international hits while maintaining a consistent energy throughout the night.
DJ Galata normally performs as a solo DJ and can provide music for the complete wedding programme, including the drinks reception, dinner, main party and after-party.
Shorter party sets and multi-day destination wedding programmes are also available. He works closely with wedding planners, venues, bands and technical teams and can coordinate local sound, lighting and DJ equipment when required.
His preferred professional setup includes two Pioneer CDJ-3000 players, a DJM-A9 or DJM-900NXS2 mixer, booth monitors and a suitable sound system for the venue.
