About Flamenco in Rome – professional Flamenco & Rumba band based in Rome, Italy
Flamenco in Rome is a vibrant flamenco & rumba ensemble originally from Argentina, now based in Rome and available for weddings, corporate events and private celebrations across Italy and beyond.
The group displays a large repertoire of Andalusian flamenco music and dance, from the rumba of the Gipsy Kings through to modern musical trends from South and Central America, reggaeton and international and Neapolitan hits with Afro-Latin influences, taking audiences on a rich journey rooted in gitano tradition.
On stage, the ensemble can be configured from a quartet up to an eight-piece group depending on the client's requirements, featuring bailaoras (dancers), singers, guitarists and live percussion.
With a great variety of wardrobe colours, the group delivers choreography and musicality that promises a unique and enthusiastic energy, building towards a spectacular finale.
If required, the group can also provide a talented DJ set as an all-in-one package, keeping the dance floor moving between and after the live sets.
Performances are typically structured as either two longer sets or three shorter sets depending on the event format and line-up size, with a total performance time of around two and a half to three hours for the full ensemble or one to one and a half hours for a smaller trio configuration.
Flamenco in Rome is happy to perform specific song requests for special moments such as cake cutting and first dances and provides a laptop playlist and DJ service between live sets so the music never stops.
The group has experience performing at ceremonies, beach events and garden celebrations and simply requires a shaded stage area on sunny days and a stable, solid surface (carpeted or similar) for the PA system.
For a small band, a performance area of approximately 2 x 3 metres is sufficient, while the full ensemble requires up to 4 x 5 metres.
