Geo Sax is a professional saxophonist based in Plymouth with 40 years of performing experience across most genres of music.
Having played in countless bands over four decades, he brings a deep understanding of what makes an event truly special and has enjoyed every minute of his musical journey.
For Geo Sax, it is all about the sound of the saxophone.
He is dedicated to delivering a beautiful tone while listening closely to what is going on around him, blending seamlessly with the atmosphere of each moment.
His extensive experience across rock, swing, R&B, blues and jazz gives him the versatility to adapt to any audience.
Geo Sax offers an exceptional range of line-up options to suit events of any size. He can perform as a solo saxophonist with backing tracks, alongside a DJ or as part of a duo or trio.
For larger events he can assemble a jazz quartet, quintet or sextet, as well as a full rock band, swing band or R&B/blues band.
This flexibility makes him an ideal choice for everything from intimate ceremony music to a full evening of dance-floor entertainment. He understands how important clear communication with the booker and organiser is to keeping an event running smoothly.
Geo Sax prefers to arrive up to two hours before his booked start time, giving plenty of room to deal with any difficulties that may arise and ensuring everything is ready well in advance.
Geo Sax provides his own sound and lighting equipment, a laptop playlist and DJ service between and after live sets and is happy to learn song requests such as a first dance.
He holds Public Liability Insurance and uses PAT-tested equipment. He is comfortable performing outdoors and in unusual settings including barns and beaches and requires a minimum performance area of around 6ft square.
