About High Voltage Sounds – professional wedding & party showband based in London, UK

High Voltage Sounds is the go-to band for parties, weddings and corporate events. We are a professionally managed, scalable and established event band.

We have many great reviews and a wealth of material to browse. We genuinely love what we do and this is reflected in our fantastic performances across the UK and Europe.

Our vast song repertoire of both classic and contemporary songs makes us a very appealing option to any potential client.

We have also compiled a collection of song medleys that form the basis of the repertoire that you can choose for your event (send us a message request if you’d like to have a look).

This gives us the opportunity to perform many more songs than would otherwise be available to you within your performance period.

We avoid unnecessary stops and starts between songs, and we maintain the momentum throughout the show. Modern music is heavily produced and we can recreate this with our genuine authentic reproductions using modern instruments and versatile effects units.

The sound quality of the band is probably the most important thing to consider at your event and it often gets overlooked.

However good the performers are, if the overall sound quality is poor, the vocals indecipherable and the distinction between the instruments non-existent, it will be difficult to appreciate the music at all.

Live sound will vary from the sound you listen to in promotional videos on your home / mobile devices, and different venues have different acoustic properties.

We own and supply genuine industry-grade equipment to all events and we have a qualified engineer band member to manage the sound setup.

Sound and disco lighting production for events of up to 350 persons is included as standard with all our packages.

Additional production is also available (in-house and upon request).

On top of this, our 8-piece and above line-ups are all booked with an independent sound engineer.

We own our own 9-seater tour bus so we are able to carry a good stock of spares and we can all travel to gigs together which is very healthy for the environment too!

Our experience is legendary. We have been trusted to perform at many high calibre events and for numerous high profile clients such as Mercedes UK, Shell Europe, R.A.F. Marriott Hotels, Guoman Hotels, The Natural History Museum, and The Victoria & Albert Museum.

Our singers have worked with producers such as Rodney Jerkins, Jimmy Harry, and Shelley Peikin, having contributed to original songs for artists such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Ed Sheeran, and Kylie.

High Voltage Sounds, musicians and vocalists are a stellar collection of London's West End performers and industry professional musicians.

All of our singers are experienced West End show performers or have established successful solo industry careers.

All of our musicians are professional performers and all carry degrees from respected music schools. We are all qualified in both jazz and pop disciplines.

Additional Services

Options are available to cover many other areas of your entertainment brief. We have 3 DJ selections as well as the DJ SAX LIVE option. We provide instrumental and vocal-led acoustic band options, horn sections and multiple vocalist line-ups. We have additional production available for events over 350 persons and we can provide a mesmerising star cloth background to all clients. We can even supply a range of photo booths from our sister company.

That’s right - whichever line up you choose, we provide a saxophonist as part of the band and to roam the dance floor if you wish!

4-piece (compact) - Lead female vocal / Acoustic drums / Guitar / (Keyboards and Saxophone - one player). Limited setlist.
5-piece (standard) - Lead female vocal / Acoustic drums / Guitar lead & rhythm / Bass guitar / (Keyboards and saxophone - one player).
6-piece (mixed vocal) - Lead female vocal / Lead male vocal / Acoustic drums / Guitar lead & rhythm / Bass guitar / (Keyboards and saxophone - one player).
7-piece (brassy) - Lead female vocal / Acoustic drums / Guitar lead & rhythm / Bass guitar / (Keyboards and saxophone - one player) / Trumpet / Trombone.
8 piece (select) - Lead female vocal / Lead male vocal / Acoustic drums / Guitar lead & rhythm / Bass guitar / (Keyboards and saxophone - one player) / Trumpet / Trombone.
10 piece (harmony) - 2 xLead female vocal / 1 x Lead male vocal / Acoustic drums / Guitar lead & rhythm / Bass guitar / Keyboards / Saxophone / Trumpet / Trombone.

Venue Requirements

We have performed indoors / outdoors, at large festivals and in tiny spaces. We’ve performed abroad and we’ve travelled the length and breadth of the British Isles.

We provide all necessary insurance and additional documentation upon request. We will fully liaise with your venue if preferred and reduce your workload a fair bit.

We don’t have any special requirements

We can plug straight into the domestic 3-pin power sockets and we don’t require a stage (although it is nice if your venue can provide one!). All we ask is that you provide each band member with a hot meal if we are on-site for over 5 hours.

We have been together as a band for nearly a decade and in the unlikely event of any of the team falling ill, we can cover the part from our pool of fully rehearsed musicians.

We have a dedicated and experienced manager who will work with you throughout the booking process and is always available to offer help & advice.
