About Island Sax – professional wedding saxophonist based in Malta
Island Sax is an established young saxophonist in Malta, bringing the tone of the saxophone and energy to your event.
Throughout his career, Island Sax has performed with prominent ensembles and well renowned bands.
As a session saxophonist of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, he participated in major productions such as Rockestra, MPO/MYO Concert, Guns N’ Roses - A Symphony to the Jungle and Do-Re-Mi Meets La.
With the BHU, he performed at high-profile events, including the Expo 2020 Dubai, Valletta New Year’s Eve Celebrations and the Farsons Beer Festival.
His work with the BBB has seen him involved in weddings, concerts like Unforgettable with tenor Nico Darmanin and original music productions, such as Xehda.
As a session saxophonist, he has played at various events, including X Factor Malta (Season 2), a live performance with Cristina Ramos at the Cittadella and as the opening act for Julian Marley.
His adaptability has made him a sought-after musician for weddings, functions and other important occasions.
In addition to his performance credentials, he has won the New Names Malta National Music Competition in 2015, held under the patronage of Her Excellency Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Malta.
