About The Italy Choir – professional pop & gospel choir based in Florence, Italy
The Italy Choir are a vocal group composed of 30 vocalists and musicians, founded and directed by Alessandro Gerini, Italian-Polish vocalist, vocal coach and arranger.
Their unique, multifaceted reality combines a choral imprint of gospel and traditional polyphony with the modern sounds of electronic, soul, and pop.
The group has gained international fame thanks to important collaborations with Italian artists like pop star Ultimo, the late actor and presenter Gigi Proietti, rock group, Modà, and international artists like American soul singer Sergio Sylvestre and British vocal coach, Paul Phoenix, former member of Grammy-Award winning a cappella group King’s Singers.
We're regularly booked to perform for weddings and events at Convento Viandante del Cielo in Perugia, Italy.
Known for their electrifying shows, the group has performed in throughout Italy, Europe and Asia including prestigious festivals like Choral Events’ International Choir Festival Provence, France, Lucca International Choir Festival, Wien International Festival for Choirs and Orchestras, the Prague Advent Choral Meeting, the Jeju International Choir & Symposium 2018 (South Korea), the Pantheon Gala Concert in Rome and Chorus Inside’s festival Moscow Sounds 2019 where they received the prestigious prize for "Best Overall Performance," the first time a foreign choir has ever received this award.
The Italy Choir continues to perform at private events in various formations collaborating with international wedding agencies at the most exclusive locations in Italy and Europe.
In 2022, the group released its first eponymous full-length album, available on all digital platforms.
The choir launched their fifth official music video and single covering Drake’s, "Hotline Bling."

For the occasion, Alessandro (Director) and I thought of a formula that would continue with the performance even after the ceremony with a quartet for the aperitif and a flashmob during dinner. Nothing was left to chance. Each song we chose together according to our needs, even the songs outside their ordinary repertoire, coordination for the vocalists’ personalised attire according to the choices available. From a musical point of view they created a wonderful sound frame for our special day. We also requested a DJ service who created a playlist chosen by us!"
