Every booking includes full sound and lighting, a friendly and professional crew and flexible set-up options suited to all venue sizes, including noise-restricted spaces thanks to their electronic drum kit.

As one of the most in-demand wedding bands South Wales has to offer, The Paychecks' standard show features either two 45-minute or two 60-minute live sets, plus music before, between and after the band so the atmosphere never dips.

The Paychecks pride themselves on tailoring each performance to the crowd, reading the room and making every celebration feel unique.

With hundreds of successful weddings, parties and corporate events behind them, they combine reliability, experience and great music to create a night that guests will remember long after the final song.

What are your normal set lengths?

- We usually perform 2×45-minute or 2×60-minute live sets, depending on the package booked. Additional or extended sets can be arranged if you’d like to keep the party going even longer.

Do you have different line-up options?

- Our standard and preferred line-up is a 4-piece band: female lead vocals, guitar, bass, and electronic drums. We’ve refined this line-up over years to create the best energy and sound balance. However, we can offer a manned DJ service as an add-on for before and after the live sets if your venue doesn’t have its own DJ.

Do you provide your own sound & lighting equipment? What is it or what's included in the price?

- Yes — we’re fully self-contained. We bring our own high-quality PA system and professional lighting suitable for most venue sizes. Everything is tested, PAT-certified

Do you provide a laptop playlist / DJ service in between and after your live sets?

- Yes! A playlist service comes as standard between sets, and many couples choose to upgrade to our manned DJ service, where we take requests and keep the energy flowing before and after the band’s live sets.

What time do you normally arrive at the venue to set up?

- On average, we’re set up and ready to go within 40–60 minutes, depending on load-in and access. Even with more equipment than a solo act, our four-person team makes setup fast and efficient.

How long does it take for you to set up, sound check etc?

Can you learn song requests (e.g. a first dance)?

- Yeah! Depending on suitability

How much space do you need for your performance area?

- We’re comfortable in most spaces, but ideally 4m × 3m gives us enough room for instruments, lights, and movement. We only need access to a few standard power sockets nearby.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance and PAT-tested equipment?

- Yes

Are you comfortable performing outdoors or in unusual settings (e.g. barns, beaches)?

- Aslong as there is a solid bit of ground for the drum kit we can make it work, we haven't been able to play somewhere yet!
