About The Ravenna Violinist – professional wedding violinist & singer based in Faenza, Italy
I am a passionate violinist and singer, focused on creating unique experiences thourgh my music, for weddings and events both in Italy and abroad.
My performances are a dynamic blend of violin and voice, seamlessly alternating between the two to captivate audiences.
I play both the electric violin, often using a LED-lit bow for a visually stunning effect and the acoustic violin, delivering a versatile repertoire that spans classical, pop, dance and reggaeton music.
I'm regularly booked to perform for weddings and events at Casali di Casole in Siena and Villa Miani in Rome.
I use my own wireless microphone system for the violin, which works well for most settings. In larger or more open spaces, enhanced amplification may be necessary for both the violin and vocals to ensure optimal sound quality.
My performances typically include a curated selection from my repertoire, but I’m always happy to accommodate special requests, whether for the ceremony, dinner, cake cutting or the first dance.
In advance of the event, I coordinate closely with the DJ, sharing my tracks and finalising the set list. We also agree on a suitable time for sound check to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.
I’m very comfortable performing in a wide range of environments; indoors, outdoors, on the beach or in more unconventional venues and I always adapt to the unique atmosphere of each setting.

"Hiring Mariella was the luckiest last-minute decision we made for our wedding. I had always known I wanted some kind of live musician during the night, maybe a saxophonist, but I wasn’t sure we would have room in our budget at the beginning of our planning. I had a feeling about 4 months away from our wedding date that I would regret not having a live musician of some sort, so I started searching again. Then, when it was time for the party, she changed outfits and became an entirely different kind of performer alongside our DJ. My husband and I really enjoy EDM music, and that was what drew us to Mariella’s electric violinist style. My jaw was genuinely on the floor for most of the night while she was playing. The energy she brought to the dance floor was unreal, and our guests were completely captivated by her.
What made it even more impressive was that not everything she played was rehearsed. There were songs the DJ played that she was hearing for the first time, and she would listen, feel the music, and immediately begin playing along with it. Watching her talent unfold in real time was absolutely mesmerizing. Every guest came up to me to tell me how insanely talented she was throughout the night.
My mom was probably the least convinced that we needed to hire a live musician, and by the end of the night she was completely speechless and could not stop talking about how incredible Mariella was. Even two weeks later, she is still talking about her. I think that alone is such a testament to Mariella’s talent.
Our DJ, photographers, and videographers were equally impressed by both her professionalism and her talent. She worked so seamlessly with everyone and elevated every single part of the day, from the emotion of the ceremony, to the beauty of the aperitif, to the energy of the party. Not only was Mariella professional and timely in her responses from the first inquiry to the last performance, she was also just a truly kind human being and so fun to be around! Her energy was unmatched throughout the whole night.
Mariella did not just provide music for our wedding. She helped shape the entire feeling of the day and created moments that we and our guests will remember forever. I would hire her again a thousand times over. She was truly unforgettable."
