About Rocking Lothian – professional rock ceilidh & wedding band based in Armadale, Scotland
Rocking Lothian is a wedding & ceilidh band based in West Lothian, Scotland.

The band was started by Mary, the lead violinist in 2014 and has played everywhere from canvases to castles and from hotels to huts.
Raising the roofs on parties is what we specialise in and we aim to make your party the best of the best!
We're regularly booked to perform for weddings and events at Box Hub on Washington Street in Glasgow.
With various line-up options from 2-piece to a 4-piece band, they are ready to entertain any crowd at any venue.
Included in the price, Rocking Lothian also offers a sound system, lights and a party or background music in between band sets and after the bands live set. So the party will never stop!
The band is flexible with their setup time, however they usually arrive around 1 hour before start time for setup and soundcheck.
Given the unique setup and line-up of the band, certain songs prove to not be possible to play live, so any first dances or requests are played as mp3 through their sound system to make sure that the authenticity of the sound is kept real.
Booking the Rocking Lothian Ceilidh Band means you get a full 4-piece ‘rock-ceilidh’ band comprising electric fiddle, electric guitar, bass and drums. They are all highly experienced and skilled musicians. They play toe-tapping high-energy ceilidh tunes blended with snippets and riffs from many modern songs.
Your guests will be in safe hands, even if complete ceilidh novices. As experienced ceilidh dance callers, they will guide guests step by step through the most popular dances, and a few more unusual ones too, using fun-filled banter. This ensures that everyone will be able to fully participate in your party.
The quote is for entertainment for a pre-arranged block of up to four consecutive hours before midnight and includes disco if required. For entertaining in excess of four hours, or after midnight, there is an additional fee.
Please note, they do not sing and bring disco instead so they can cater to all requests and tastes.
Most clients prefer ceilidh until buffet and then disco afterwards; however, because they bring the disco with them, they can be flexible if the ceilidh is going particularly well.
All their sound and light equipment is PAT tested, and they have public liability insurance of £10m.
