About Samba Luz – professional Brazilian band based in Nice, France
Samba Luz is a French-Brazilian band based in Nice, in the south of France and has been bringing authentic Latin energy to the stage since 2016.
Their sound is deeply inspired by the rhythms of Brazil, blending percussion-driven beats with smooth melodies to create a vibrant atmosphere that moves effortlessly from bossa nova and Brazilian jazz to samba, salsa and pagode.
The group features a drummer and percussionist, singer, bassist and pianist or accordionist, together delivering a complete and joyful celebration of Brazilian and Latin music.
Their usual performance lasts around two hours and while the lineup remains consistent, it’s perfectly balanced for an energetic live experience.
Samba Luz can provide their own sound equipment for events in the south of France and Monaco, arriving about three hours before the performance to set up and sound-check, which typically takes an hour.
They’re always happy to learn special song requests to make each show more personal and they generally require a performance area of around 6 x 8 metres.
The band is completely comfortable performing outdoors or in unique locations such as beaches or open venues, anywhere their rhythms can bring the party to life.
