Sunlit Fret is a professional classical guitarist based in Malaga, Spain.
Originally from London and now a resident of the Costa del Sol for nearly twenty years, Sunlit Fret grew up surrounded by music and has carried that lifelong passion into a career performing at weddings and private events across southern Spain and beyond.
With roots in a family steeped in music, Sunlit Fret developed an eclectic ear from an early age.
From Motown and jazz to R&B, hip hop, classical, soul and drum and bass, that broad appreciation shapes a versatile performance style that sets this guitarist apart.
Classical guitar is the foundation, but what makes Sunlit Fret distinctive is the way classical repertoire blends naturally with traditional Spanish pieces and modern pop favourites, creating a seamless musical journey that feels both timeless and fresh.
For a wedding ceremony, Sunlit Fret creates a beautiful, intimate atmosphere without overpowering the surroundings.
A set might move from the romantic compositions of Francisco Tarrega or Isaac Albeniz into a traditional Spanish piece and then into a modern favourite arranged especially for the couple.
Modern songs are carefully adapted to sit naturally alongside the classical repertoire, so the music feels unified rather than disjointed.
As well as classical guitar, Sunlit Fret also plays the banjo, piano, ukulele and harmonica, adding further variety and personality to the performance.
Performances run from one to three hours, with flexibility to suit the flow of any event.
Sunlit Fret provides all sound equipment and can supply background music during breaks to keep the atmosphere going.
Setup and soundcheck take around 30 minutes, and the guitarist is happy to learn a first dance song on request.
Sunlit Fret is available to perform anywhere and loves to travel for destination weddings and events.
