About Swanchal – professional Gypsy Jazz band based in La Rochelle, France
Our band is one of the finest gypsy jazz bands in France.
We play original and authentic "french jazz music" in duo, trio or quartet. This music is most of the time a very good choice to bring a nice energy with music in your events.
We have a large repertoire with plenty of Django Reinhardt and Grappelli songs and also jazz standards and well known songs played in a french jazz way.
The sound is very important for us and for the success of the musical vibe of the event, we provide a very high quality sound system to get a clear and clean sound without being loud.
From the jazz festival to weddings and reception, we travel everywhere in Europe to enhance your events with fancy music.
We did hundreds of gigs and are regularly booked in the west part of France to perform in famous Castles of the Bordeaux and Cognac area, Ré island and many other sites.
We are professional musicians, we love to play and play with a smile !
Additional instruments can be added on request and for an additional fee. These include sax/clarinet, trumpet & singer.
