About Swing High – professional swing & jazz band based in Lisbon, Portugal
Swing High are one of the few swing bands in Lisbon, formed by students from the Hot Clube de Portugal Jazz School who fell in love when they saw some Lindy Hoppers dancing in the street.

We're regularly booked to perform for weddings and events at InterContinental Hotel Lisbon and King's College School in Cascais, Portugal.
They have already participated in festivals such as the Festa do Avante, Meo Outjazz, Andanzas and have been present in rooms such as Hardclub, Estoril Casino and Lisbon, Time Out Studio, Warehouse F, S.Luiz Theater Winter Garden, among many others throughout the country!

Swing High is a Lisbon swing band that formed about 4 years ago when jazz students saw lindy hoppers dancing in the street.
All members are professional musicians who are used to having weddings both at cocktail time and at party time.
Your wedding pack features six musicians, one drums, one guitar, one double bass, one guitar amp, one double bass amp, two wind, proper costumes, speakers and all the necessary cables and microphones.
There is the possibility of the band giving an open lindy hop class (energetic and vibrant 1930s dance) with live music.
This class is open to all who are in space. Its repertoire is varied and inspired by the swing of the 20s, 30s and 40s.

Têm como objectivo fazer música para danças swing e por isso adaptam-se a qualquer tipo de festa com uma energia e uma empatia da qual é impossível fugir ou ficar quieto!!!
Swing High é uma banda de swing de Lisboa que se formou há cerca de 4 anos quando estudantes de jazz viram lindy hoppers a dançar na rua.
Todos os membros são músicos profissionais muito habituados a fazer casamentos quer na altura do cocktail quer na altura da festa.
O seu pack de casamento conta com seis músicos, uma bateria, uma guitarra, um contrabaixo, um amp de guitarra, 1 amp de contrabaixo, dois sopros, figurinos adequados, colunas e todos os cabos e microfones necessários.
Há a possibilidade de a banda dar uma aula aberta de lindy hop ( dança energetica e vibrante dos anos 30) com música ao vivo.
Aula essa que é aberta a todos os que estiverm no espaço.O seu repertório é variado e inspirado no swing das décadas de 20, 30 e 40.

"Margarida and the band sang for my wedding with 200 guests. They were absolutely fabulous, great voice and energy! Very pleasant to communicate with. They also catered to our special song requests, and a friend of mine surprised me with a song too. They do good twists to popular songs but in a jazzy swing style, perfect atmosphere for our cocktail time. My fav was her version of Baby One More Time :)"

Their set was fantastic, really wonderful music with an upbeat vibe, full of energy that got the pupils really immersed in their special 1920s day. The band even got the pupils dancing, and you could see on their faces how much they enjoyed it. I really hope Swing High come back for a repeat performance next year - they are thoroughly professional, excellent musicians and we really enjoyed it!"
