About Tango Guitarist – professional wedding guitarist based in Brisighella, Italy
After numerous experiences in Spain and abroad, performing with various groups, bands, and acoustic ensembles, I am now fully dedicated to the Plays Piazzolla project.
This endeavour presents the music of Astor Piazzolla, known for his Tango Nuevo, in a distinctly personal and modern interpretation.
I'm regularly booked to perform for weddings and events at Ristorante Neccio in Pisa and also in the areas of Lago di Como, Lago di Garda & Umbria.
Piazzolla's Nuevo Tango differs from traditional Tango by incorporating elements of jazz and utilising dissonances and other innovative musical techniques. Renowned pieces such as "Oblivion," "Libertango," "Milonga del Angel," "Night Club," "Café 1930," "Tango Final Tema di Maria," and "Tangata del Alba," among others, are rendered solely on Spanish guitar, infused with the flamenco flair that defines my style.
This unique approach makes these pieces truly original and captivating, whether for a concert performance or an evening of ambient music.
I specialise in solo concerts at prestigious resorts and hotels, as well as venues that appreciate music of high artistic quality and originality.
The challenge of reinterpreting Astor Piazzolla's music in a personal and contemporary manner, while maintaining the flamenco touch that characterizes my playing, has brought me great satisfaction and acclaim in the places where I perform.
