About Verona Jazz – professional Jazz, Bossa & Swing band based in Verona, Italy
Verona Jazz is a jazz and bossa nova band made up of professional musicians who simply love what we do.
Over the years we’ve had the chance to perform at festivals and events all over the world but what really matters to us is creating those special intimate moments through live music whether it’s on a big stage or in a small candle lit courtyard.
Our band can adapt to suit the vibe of your event.
We often play as a trio either with piano double bass and drums or with guitar in place of piano.
When we’re joined by our female vocalist the music takes on an even warmer and more expressive tone. We can also expand into a quartet or quintet if you’re looking for a fuller sound and we’re happy to talk through options with you.
Our setlist is a blend of jazz standards, classic bossa nova tunes and some well known modern songs that we’ve reimagined with our own laid back jazzy twist.
The result is a smooth elegant sound that brings a relaxed but refined atmosphere ideal for weddings, dinners, private parties or stylish corporate events.
We bring our own sound and lighting equipment if needed at an additional cost and we usually arrive around two hours before guests to set up and sound check just to make sure everything runs smoothly.
If you have a special song in mind such as a first dance we’re open to requests and happy to evaluate what’s possible.
Whether indoors or outdoors in classic venues or more unique settings like barns gardens or beaches we’re always up for creating a beautiful musical backdrop as long as the space and conditions are right.
We usually perform for around an hour and a half per set and we do recommend a performance area of around 5x4 meters to ensure we have enough room to set up comfortably.
At the heart of everything we do is the desire to make people feel good with music that’s timeless, smooth and full of soul.
