More information about The Moonshine Jazz Band

They have compiled a choice repertoire consisting of classic 'Roaring' 1920s/30s Gatsby-style hits, gypsy jazz, ragtime and instrumental options that can then be catered to any event no matter how big or small.

Whether an elegant sound for a restaurant, relaxing ambience for cocktails or wedding receptions, or getting the dancing started at a vintage upbeat party, they can adapt and dress the part too.

They can also provide 'roaming entertainment' ideal for garden parties and crowd mingling.

Previous clients in over a decade of gigging experience include The Goodwood Revival, The New Theatre Royal (Portsmouth), Gunwharf Quays, Rendevous Casinos, private weddings/parties and many exclusive hotels and restaurants along the South Coast and in the London area.

Highlights from their authentic 1920s/30s/40s repertoire include:

  • It Don't Mean a Thing (Duke Ellington)
  • Charleston (Classic Ragtime hit – A must for any Gatsby party)
  • After You've Gone (Django Reinhardt)
  • Confessin' (Louis Armstrong)
  • Dream a little Dream (Ella Fitzgerald)
  • La Vie En Rose (Edith Piaf)
  • Ain't Misbehavin' (Fats Waller)
  • Sing Sing Sing (Louis Prima)
  • All of Me (Classic Jazz standard)
  • 'Tin Pan Alley' hits

The band has just performed for the 2018 Courtauld Gallery summer party at Somerset House in central London.
