Lydia is a professional harpist and pianist based in Malta with vast experience of performing at weddings and corporate events.
She graduated from various universities and colleges, amongst the University of Durham gaining a Doctor of Philosophy in Musicology (PhD), the University of Malta achieving a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance (B.A. Hons) (Melit), the Licentiate of the Trinity College of Music/London College of Music (LTCL, LLCM) in both the harp and piano, the Fellowship of the London School of Music (FLCM) in piano accompaniment and a post-graduate certificate in Music Psychology in Education from the University of Sheffield.

Lydia is the co-founder of two ensembles: the Venus Harp Trio (harp, violin and cello) with whom they have been collaborating for over 13 years, and the Classique meets Pop with singer and guitarist Fiona Cauchi where both groups have given a standing-ovation concerts, weddings, church ceremonies and private functions at various prestigious venues in Malta.
Apart from the academic achievements, Lydia is a highly sought-after musician where she has performed in prestigious events, orchestral concert performances, solo recitals and premiering solo and orchestral works by Maltese and foreign composers.
Her versatility as a professional harpist has taken her to perform at Official State Dinners, Ambassadors’ Annual State Dinners, prestigious Ceremony Awards, Inauguration of Grand Openings and dinners organised for the EU Maltese Presidency 2017.
As a professional wedding harpist and pianist, Lydia performs around hundred and twenty weddings per year. With her vast experience in guiding and collaborating with couples in planning their special day, enables her to formulate the ideal programme to suit all tastes.
