About Rafi On Sax – professional wedding saxophonist & DJ based in Birmingham, UK
Rafi On Sax, who is based in the UK, has been playing for fifteen years and has a wide range of professional experiences.
Since arriving in the UK in 2013, he has been a prominent participant in both the London and Birmingham music scenes, performing alongside DJ’s at various events and weddings.
I'm regularly booked to perform for weddings and events at Navidale House Hotel in Helmsdale, Scotland.
Rafi On Sax works as a session musician on a variety of projects, including studio recordings, events, cabarets, theatre performances, parties, and tribute bands.
He has shared the stage with some of the most renowned performers from the UK and Europe.
One of his most notable collaborations was with Witney Houston's saxophonist Kirk Whalum, who rose to fame for his appearance on the song "I Will Always Love You" and is a 12-time Grammy nominee and one-time winner of the award for "Best Gospel Song" in 2011.
Rafi On Sax entered the Sax & DJ scene in 2014, and since then has established a distinctive style, a solid client base, and a solid reputation.
As a result, he is a very trustworthy and strong candidate when looking for a saxophonist to play with DJs improvising alongside all musical genres, including funk, jazz, hip-hop, R&B, Latin, disco, house, 80s, and lounge music.
The Warehouse in Leeds, Charlie Wright's Jazz Club in London, the Mostly Jazz & Blues Festival, Birmingham's Fumo, Nuvo Bar, Chameleon, Players, Dirty Martini, and the Sports & Music bar in Liverpool are just a few of the prestigious venues where Rafi on Sax has performed for over a decade as saxophonist alongside DJ’s.
He has also performed abroad in the Portuguese town of Amora, where he was the resident saxophonist, playing alongside local DJs for two consecutive summers.

We booked him as DJ & Sax and once we saw his music list we knew he’d get our vibe straight away. Not only was the performance really good, the communication from start to finish was great. He planned the whole day of music - welcome drinks around the pool, background songs for dinner and then got the wedding party going in the evening with some great songs and our guests loved it. A mixture of current and old school! Travelling over to France could have been too much to ask for with the uncertainty of the pandemic, but that didn’t stop him and we were super happy to see him without any mishaps of travel on the day.
