"I interviewed eight different string groups to help me coordinate a surprise proposal, which was incredibly difficult to pull off. In other words, I was not going to be able to hire just any old String Quartet that wants to come play a bunch of wedding songs, and American pop songs. I needed a specific sound and an intellectual group of musicians that knew how to strike at the right time to pull this off perfectly. Because with this level of execution, you only get one shot! Mattia with Milan String Group was the ONLY one willing to actually discuss my needs and accomodate. Yes they cost a bit more but the attention to detail from every step along the way required to ensure the musicians, singers and party attendees were all in sync made them worth every penny. Our event went flawlessly, my partner was stunned with the surprise as were so many others and I have only Mattia and the brilliant musicians at Milan String Group to thank. "We cannot recommend The Milan String Group more highly. We had a string duo (violin + cello) for our wedding in Switzerland, and they were incredible — great to work with, and top-tier artists. Mattia (violin and head of the group) was fantastic to work with from the very start – planning calls, quick responses whenever we had a request – and such a kind person on top of it all. He even made a new song arrangement on very short notice when we wanted to change our recessional song at the last minute. Additionally, their existing repertoire is extensive and covers multiple genres, which made choosing songs easy and fun. They played for guest arrival, the ceremony, the cocktail, AND Mattia even joined in during the hora with his violin (like a fiddler on the roof!). On the day, they got every detail that we had discussed perfectly right. And of note: our wedding was not the easiest to get to (it was on top of a mountain, accessible via gondola only!), but this did not phase Mattia, who was game for anything.
