FAQs

How much do you charge?

There are a number of factors that affect price, such as date, location, travel time and distance, and how long the band will be on-site. Please give us as much information as possible when getting in touch and we can provide a quote.

Can I request/guarantee specific band members?

Unfortunately we can’t always guarantee that certain members of the band will be available for your event. All members of The Old School 90s Band are full-time professional musicians and as such, have various other commitments and projects.

We have a wide range of quality deps and stand-ins who are available so you can rest assured that the quality of our live show will not be compromised.

Can we choose all of the songs?

We aim to make your personal mixtape just that. Personal to you and perfect for your occasion. However, despite how great some of those 90s tunes were, they don’t all work in a live setting.

If you have any special requests then please let us know and we’ll do our best to make them work but we also ask that you trust our judgement – crafting a setlist and knowing which songs to play when is a skill! Our aim is to keep your guests dancing and singing from start to finish.

How much space do you need?

Ideally we’d have a performance area of 7m x 5m but we’ll squeeze up if we need to! Hiring a raised stage tends to have a greater impact and often your venue will be able to provide one but this isn’t essential.

We do need a solid and flat floor though. Outdoor marquees on grass can sometimes be an issue if flooring isn’t installed.

Do I need to supply any equipment?

The band will bring all PA equipment, microphones, instruments and lighting. We just ask that you ensure that we have easy access to a safe power supply.

How long do you need to set up?

We ask for at least 90 minutes to set up all our equipment and to sound check to ensure the best possible performance.

Do I need to provide food and drink?

Yes please. We ask that you provide soft drinks as well as one hot meal per band member.

Do you need a changing room?

We ask that you provide a secure room where the band can get changed and also to store personal items while we’re performing. It’s also nice to have somewhere to chill out between finishing our setup and soundcheck and then going on stage.

How long do you play for?

We usually play 2 x 1-hour sets (with a break in between) but this can be extended depending on your requirements.

We can provide background music prior to the band starting, during the break and after our final set. This will usually be a Spotify playlist played through our PA system which we can put together for you.

What type of events do you perform at?

We're in demand at weddings, corporate events, private parties, school reunion events and birthday parties.

"These guys absolutely smashed it at our wedding! They played tune after tune and got everyone on the dance floor. We literally could not recommend them enough! Thom was really lovely and so organised before the day and the vocals from Alice and Nana on the night were incredible, we had so many amazing comments from our guests. Thank you so much for playing for us, we had the best day ever and your set was the cherry on the top! Xxx"

"The Old School 90s Band were simply brilliant. They recently played at our wedding and were the best band a couple could ask for. From the moment they were booked, Thom was pleasant, courteous and above all fun. On the day they set-up quickly and seamlessly with no fuss at all. Then the set, it was incredible. The dance floor was full throughout and everybody complimented that this was the best band they’d heard at a wedding. Thank you so much to Thom, Alice, Nana, Connor, Kaveh and Dan...you were amazing. Love, Max & Lulu."

"The Old School 90s Band were the perfect act for our NYE party! Totally professional with banger after banger. The music really made for some happy positive vibes the best way to begin 2022. We did however have one complaint... the dance floor was so full they couldn't get through to dance at the front! (I mean that's the sort of complaint I like #floorfillers) would 100% recommend and hope they come back soon!"

"Hi Ed, All went really well, They were lovely to deal with, on time, respectful, no egos and didn’t worry that the first set was a bit hard with food going on at the same time. Second set got everyone dancing and most importantly, the end client was very happy. I will write to them to thank them but they are a good bunch and did a great job."
