Formed in 2011, Brooklyn Funk was created as a way for seven talented musicians to play the music they love...funk, soul and Motown.
Initially playing in pubs and clubs around Bristol & The South West, the authentic sound of Brooklyn Funk has led to more and more wedding and corporate performances throughout the UK.
Brooklyn Funk's musicians can really play. Their busy schedule includes performing and recording with artists such as Kenny Thomas, Bizarre Inc & This Picture.

"Absolutely fantastic! Brooklyn Funk MADE our wedding. Their sound is brilliant, their setlist is awesome and they're a really lovely group of people. They were really accommodating - we were running really late, so they had to set up and start playing fast - and they stayed really late to let us use their PA system after they'd finished, which was incredibly kind. Throughout the whole process Gavin was super responsive, helpful & happy to help & made the whole experience a really positive one. We decided to add on an extra set with the Sax Player joining for our cocktails & canapés which was a great hit with our guests. The band played 2x 1 hour sets (2030 - 2130 & 2230 - 2330) for our c.120 guests & the dance floor was completely full all night - they played a great mix of crowd pleasers, disco, funk, soul & some pop classics which appealed to all demographics no matter their music tastes & our guests all commented on how great the band were. The Band let us use their speaker set up to play our own playlist for the remainder of the night which also worked really well. Would highly recommend & thanks again to Brooklyn Funk for playing for us & for getting the party going!"
