The Charmers

Our repertoire consists of music that will keep you dancing all night long. From good old Motown classics, Disco and Funk hits, guitar-shredding rock, present smash hits and also some slow smooth classics.

The Charmers come with their own light system, PA system and sound guy, to make sure that everything runs smoothly. We are also able to provide additional services, which may include, keyboard player, horn section and a DJ.

We make sure that you'll get what you need for your special occasion by making a tailored package to suit your needs!

We also offer a Jazz quartet/trio and a guitar and vocal duo, which works best for dinners/receptions as background music.

Once dinner is over and it’s time to get the party started, The Charmers are more than equipped to get everyone dancing and will make sure that your guests have the best day of their lives and a night to remember.

Real questions from clients

Is there the possibility of breaking the band's performance up into three forty minute sets? (asked by James on 5 November 2024)

Response from Paul: Yes we can perform 3 x 40mins sets, however when we play 3 x 40mins sets we do feel that the crowd tend to find the sets a bit too short and as soon as they get comfortable on the dance-floor, the set comes to an end shortly after (hope that makes sense).

We’ve recently been to a wedding where there was a solo sax performance/set, which is something we’re looking to include. Is this possible to include in your performance, and if so is there an extra cost? (asked by James on 5 November 2024)

Response from Paul: Yes we can offer solo sax. It depends if you’d want this for drinks reception or with a DJ or backing tracks kind of vibe. Would you be able to send me a video example? The extra cost for a solo sax set will be the same as a solo musician so £425 for 2 x 45mins sets.

How much say do we get over the choice of music/if we wanted to add a couple of sentimental songs? (asked by James on 5 November 2024)

Response from Paul: We will definitely learn and play your first dance for free. Our set-list has been created after playing hundreds of events and we feel that the songs chosen in our set-list are what get the people going. Our repertoire list includes songs that we can add/replace to/from our set list. If there are any particular songs that you would like feel free to send them to us and if we know them already, I’m sure it won’t be a problem to add them or replace some others from our set-list.

Would we meet you all for the first time on the day, or is there any pre-wedding prep/meetings we’d go through? (asked by James on 5 November 2024)

Response from Paul: We can have a phone call or video chat if you’d like but we usually always meet our clients on the day, it’s kind of part of the excitement for us. Having said that if you’d like to meet our band leader (which will be myself or the bass player) we can find a date and time that works for both of us and meet up to chat through things. But as I said this is usually done via email, call or video chat.

Have you performed at Jewish weddings before and do you know the Jewish songs? (asked by Penny on 19 December 2024)

Response from Paul: Yes we have performed at Jewish weddings and we played some Jewish songs too.
