The Turnpikes is a four-piece folk roaming band based in the picturesque town of Amalfi, Italy.
With their soulful harmonies and dynamic instrumentation, they have been captivating audiences in the wedding and entertainment industry for several years.

The band consists of a guitarist/vocalist, a violinist, a cajonist/backing vocalist, and a bass ukulele/accordionist.
The song list includes Italian and international rock, folk, and pop music by artists such as The Beatles, Sting, Coldplay, Oasis, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Bob Marley, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, and up to pure 50s rock & roll mixed with classic Neapolitan tradition songs revisited with a folk sound.
We're regularly booked to perform for weddings and events at Caruso Belmond Hotel on the Amalfi Coast, SPAO Borgo San Pietro Aquaeortus in Umbria, Villa Arvedi in Grezzana and Masseria Astapiana Villa Giusso in Vico Equense, Italy.

Below you can find a short description about our services:
Acoustic Roaming Performance
The band follows the guests in the various places of the wedding venue, playing acoustic music with the support of a battery amplifier and a microphone. Background music will be provided. Usually roaming performance will cover:
- arrival and welcome toast of the newlyweds (e.g. Wagner’s wedding march rearranged in a swing style)
- initial buffet (7/8 songs with a pause)
- cutting of the cake (3/4 songs)
Fixed position with amplification
In this scenario, usually we play pre-recorded music before, between and after our live sets.

We always have a party playlist with us, with a mix of old and new classics, but you are more than welcome to provide your own. During this, usually the most important moments are:
- entrance of the bride and groom
- first dance of the bride and groom
- dance of the bride and groom with parents
- dance with all guests
- throwing of the bouquet
- launch of the garter
On request, the performance order can be customised to the needs of the couple.
