What kind of music do jazz bands in France perform?
Our jazz bands perform a mixture of French and international jazz standards. Examples include "La Vie En Rose", "Ain't Misbehavin" and "Fly Me To The Moon".
They also perform jazz-style renditions of pop music, in the Postmodern Jukebox style.
France is also home to numerous world-class jazz manouche bands, who play in the "gypsy jazz" or "manouche jazz" style inspired by Django Reinhardt. These groups generally don't include a singer, so are most commonly booked as background music at cocktail receptions.
