Where Are the Brass Bands Available to Perform?
Each modern brass band on FixTheMusic is available anywhere in the UK, as well as in Europe and the Middle East. Many have experience of performing at destination weddings in France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
In UK, they are in frequent demand at weddings in London and the home counties (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey, and Sussex), as well as throughout the Midlands, Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Yorkshire, and in Scotland.
How Much Does It Cost to Hire a Brass Band?
The average cost to hire a brass band in the UK is £1,368. This is for 4-piece brass band to perform at a UK wedding.
The price will vary according to a few variables, such as how many musicians are in the band (e.g. a 10-piece brass band will cost a lot more than a simple brass trio), how long you want the brass band to perform for, and whether they have to charge for any travel expenses or accommodation costs.
Most brass bands perform acoustically, i.e. without amplification. If you want the band to provide amplification (for example, so they can provide a DJ playlist service as well as their live performance), the price will be increased, as they will need to bring extra equipment and potentially a sound engineer too.
Most brass bands perform either statically (i.e. in one place without moving) or as a roaming brass band (i.e. where they wander around your guests at the venue). There is often a difference in price between the two options, as it is a lot more demanding on the musicians if they have to walk around whilst performing.
Some modern brass bands also perform with singers, an MC or DJ, and dancers too. Adding these performers would increase the cost to hire the brass band, but can be worthwhile if you want to put on a spectacular show.

More Information About Our Brass Bands for Weddings and Events
Our brass bands are frequently hired to perform at weddings in the UK. One of the most popular requests is for the band to accompany the bride and groom after the marriage ceremony from the church to the reception venue. This brass band procession is the perfect way to celebrate a brand new marriage, with a big, loud fanfare!
The brass band can also perform during the ceremony itself, by providing some light music during the signing of the register, while the bride walks down the aisle or as the couple exits the venue.
Following the ceremony, many of our brass bands also provide background music during the afternoon drinks reception. A brass band is perfectly suited to performing outside – making them an ideal choice for a summer marquee wedding in the British countryside.
Later into the evening, hiring a brass band for the party is a unique and exciting option for the wedding reception. No boring cover bands playing the same songs they've heard at every other wedding they've been to that year! Our modern brass bands normally provide 2 x 45-minute sets at this part of the day, either on a stage or at the front of the party. In between these live sets, most brass bands can provide a DJ playlist service – or you may need to hire a separate DJ to fill in the gaps between the live music and to finish the party later into the night.
