About Our Wedding Singers for Hire in Italy

Our Italy-based singers include The Prodigal Duo, with 135 bookings and 42 reviews; The Amalfi Wedding Singer, who has 70 bookings and specialises in ceremonies on the Amalfi Coast and Capri; and The Florence Acoustic Duo, with 68 bookings and 24 reviews from weddings across Tuscany.

In Florence, The Florence Acoustic Duo (68 bookings, 24 reviews) and Blossom Duo (53 bookings, 26 reviews) perform at venues across Tuscany. John On Vocals, based in Grosseto, covers ceremonies and aperitivo sets across the Siena and Pisa provinces. The Wedding Tenor offers classical tenor performances for ceremonies in and around Florence.

On Lake Como, Max Sings is a singer-pianist based in Varenna.

All singers on FixTheMusic carry public liability insurance and PAT tested equipment.

How the Italian wedding day works

The typical Italian wedding follows a multi-part structure, and singers are usually booked to cover the earlier parts of the day rather than the evening party.

As one of our Tuscany-based singers described in a quote to a couple:

"I can offer you: background music and microphone for ceremony, live music performance for aperitivo, and background music and microphone for speeches during dinner time."

Some also offer an after-dinner party package with live music and DJ coverage, though many couples hand the evening to a separate DJ or full band.

The most common booking pattern is ceremony and aperitivo coverage: 30 minutes of pre-ceremony music as guests arrive, the walk down the aisle, signing of the register, then a 90-minute set during drinks and canapes. Some couples extend this to cover the dinner too, with the singer providing background music between courses. The evening party is typically handed to a DJ or a full band.

What couples have paid

Based on 453 confirmed bookings with invoice data, here's what couples have actually paid:

Singer formatTypical price rangeItaly examples
Solo singer-guitarist€300–€1,000John On Vocals (€300–€1,037), The Florence Wedding Singer (€350–€2,450)
Singer with accompanist€700–€2,800The Prodigal Duo (€715–€2,800), The Florence Acoustic Duo (€700–€2,650), Blossom Duo
Tenor / opera singer€610–€1,098The Wedding Tenor
Violinist-singer€450–€3,900Vocal Bow
Singer-pianist€500–€1,500Max Sings (Lake Como)

The median price across all confirmed bookings is €1,500. Solo singer-guitarists typically charge €300–€1,000 for a ceremony and aperitivo set. Acoustic pairs range from €700 to €2,800 depending on the number of sets and whether they include DJ coverage for the after-dinner party. Acts offering violin or harp alongside vocals, like Vocal Bow, command higher prices (up to €3,900) because they bring a more distinctive sound that suits ceremony and drinks reception settings.

Venues where our singers have performed

Our singer bookings span Tuscan villas, Lake Como hotels, Amalfi Coast cliffside venues, Umbrian castles and Roman estates. The venues that appear most frequently in our singer enquiry data include Villa Catignano near Siena (80 singer enquiries), Casa Cornacchi in Bucine (53), Castello di Petrata in Assisi (50), Hotel Villa Cipressi on Lake Como (38), Borgo di Pietrafitta Relais in Chianti (36), Castello di Rosciano near Perugia (36), Agriturismo San Galgano near Siena (31), Villa Eva in Ravello (26), and Borgo Stomennano in Monteriggioni (27). These figures count enquiries specifically for wedding singers.

How far in advance to book

The median lead time for Italian singer bookings is 257 days, or roughly eight and a half months. Italian weddings are planned further ahead than UK weddings, largely because venue availability at popular Tuscan and Amalfi Coast properties is tight during peak season. September is our busiest month with 179 confirmed bookings, followed by June (153), May (125) and August (119). If you're planning a September wedding in Tuscany, we'd recommend enquiring at least nine months ahead.

Italian and English songs

Many of our Italy-based singers perform in both Italian and English. Across the enquiry requirements we've received, 2,416 mention Italian songs and 791 mention English songs. Some couples specifically request Italian covers for the aperitivo and English pop and rock for the evening. If you have language preferences, mention them when you submit your enquiry and the singers will confirm what they can offer.

SIAE licence

If your venue hasn't mentioned it, ask about the SIAE licence. It's a legal requirement for live music at Italian weddings and is typically arranged and paid by the venue, not the singer.

Reviews from local events in Italy

We had a fantastic experience. Vieri arrived nice and early, which meant he had plenty of time to ensure everything connected to the venue’s speakers and functioning properly. He is a delightful person, which is a huge bonus when we hire suppliers for our clients, and his music is fantastic! Highly recommended- would work with him again and again! Thank you Vieri! The guys from Fret Flow Duo were so wonderful! They helped set the perfect mood playing live during cocktail hour and during dinner and then seamlessly transitioned into DJing as soon as it was time for dancing. Couldn't recommend them enough!

John was brilliant! We trusted him with the setlist which was great! He played some great background music to our pizza party and then when some of the family and friends got up to dance he soon changed to more upfront music that could be danced to, which we did all night, strongly recommend you use John for any event, he was brilliant!

JoV was brilliant. We had him for our wedding welcome party. He arrived early to set up and had regular check in the run up to the event to ask about music styles, favourite songs and vibe. He put as much effort into planning the event as he did playing it. He has a fantastic voice and we would highly recommend him. We were so sad when we couldn’t have him for our actual wedding as he books up quickly and for good reason - highly recommended!

Working with John was an outstanding experience from start to finish. His vocal performance was exceptional, bringing both emotion and professionalism to our project. He understood exactly what we were looking for and delivered high-quality recordings that exceeded our expectations. Communication was excellent throughout the process, and John was reliable, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. We couldn't be happier with the final result. We highly recommend John to anyone looking for a talented and professional vocalist on FixTheMusic. We would gladly work with him again on future projects!

Hiring The Ravenna Violinist was the luckiest last-minute decision we made for our wedding. I had always known I wanted some kind of live musician during the night, maybe a saxophonist, but I wasn’t sure we would have room in our budget at the beginning of our planning. I had a feeling about 4 months away from our wedding date that I would regret not having a live musician of some sort, so I started searching again. Then, I stumbled across her page and immediately felt in my heart that she was the right choice. We had a little extra room in the budget, and while I knew she would be incredible, I honestly could not have imagined just how completely blown away I would be in the moment. She was truly one of the stars of our entire wedding. During the ceremony, her music was so romantic, beautiful, and emotional. She then continued performing throughout our aperitif and created the most incredible atmosphere. Her music felt elegant yet energetic and so effortless, and it made that entire part of the evening feel even more special. Then, when it was time for the party, she changed outfits and became an entirely different kind of performer alongside our DJ. My husband and I really enjoy EDM music, and that was what drew us to her electric violinist style. My jaw was genuinely on the floor for most of the night while she was playing. The energy she brought to the dance floor was unreal, and our guests were completely captivated by her. What made it even more impressive was that not everything she played was rehearsed. There were songs the DJ played that she was hearing for the first time, and she would listen, feel the music, and immediately begin playing along with it. Watching her talent unfold in real time was absolutely mesmerising. Every guest came up to me to tell me how insanely talented she was throughout the night. My mom was probably the least convinced that we needed to hire a live musician, and by the end of the night she was completely speechless and could not stop talking about how incredible she was. Even two weeks later, she is still talking about her. I think that alone is such a testament to her talent. Our DJ, photographers, and videographers were equally impressed by both her professionalism and her talent. She worked so seamlessly with everyone and elevated every single part of the day, from the emotion of the ceremony, to the beauty of the aperitif, to the energy of the party. Not only was The Ravenna Violinist professional and timely in her responses from the first inquiry to the last performance, she was also just a truly kind human being and so fun to be around! Her energy was unmatched throughout the whole night. She did not just provide music for our wedding. She helped shape the entire feeling of the day and created moments that we and our guests will remember forever. I would hire her again a thousand times over. She was truly unforgettable.

We had Andiamo Duo play for a pre-wedding cocktail party at the rooftop of the Hotel Flora in Rome. They were amazing! They played the perfect type of upbeat music for this event, without us choosing the songs. The guests enjoyed their evening and I highly recommend Andiamo Duo for any type of event! Luca and his partner are so friendly and talented that we may need to go back to Rome to host another party.

We really wanted to thank Bellissimo Duo for being a part of our wedding celebrations. We had them for our farewell BBQ on Day 3 and it was the perfect end to our dream Italian wedding. All the guests absolutely loved the contemporary acoustic music. Their song repertoire is unbelievable and they are such a talented, kind and friendly duo! They even allowed us to use their equipment at the end for one of our guests to sing us a song. They were extremely professional to deal with in the run up to the wedding and very good with communicating through the website. We really appreciated that everything ran so smoothly on the day and would highly recommend them as a vendor. You won’t be disappointed!

The energy and atmosphere that they brought to the day was so special and they were so kind to learn and perform some requests that made the day even greater and individual. The addition of having a saxophone element to the performance was also something that we were so happy that we did as it really increased the energy post wedding meal. My husband and I would highly recommend them if anyone were considering live music for any event. Thank you so much!

FAQ About Our Wedding Singers in Italy

How much does a wedding singer cost in Italy?

Based on 453 confirmed bookings with invoice data, Italian wedding singer prices range from €250 to €3,900, with a median of €1,500. Solo singer-guitarists typically charge €300 to €1,000 for a ceremony and aperitivo set. Acoustic pairs range from €700 to €2,800. Full pricing examples are shown in the table above.

What parts of the Italian wedding does a singer perform at?

The most common pattern is ceremony and aperitivo coverage: pre-ceremony music as guests arrive, the walk down the aisle, signing of the register, then a 90-minute set during drinks. Some couples extend this to background music during dinner. The after-dinner party is typically handed to a DJ or full band, though some duos offer a combined live music and DJ package.

How far in advance should we book a singer in Italy?

The median lead time for Italian singer bookings on our platform is 257 days, or roughly eight and a half months. September is the busiest month, followed by June and May. For a peak-season Tuscany or Amalfi Coast wedding, we'd recommend enquiring at least nine months ahead.

Are the singers based in Italy or do they travel from the UK?

Most of our singers are based in Italy. We have 20 Italy-based acts on the platform, in Florence, Tuscany, Rome, the Amalfi Coast, Puglia, Sicily, Milan and Lake Como. This means no travel costs, no accommodation requirements, and singers who know the local venues and wedding planners.

Can the singer perform Italian songs?

Yes. Many of our Italy-based singers perform in both Italian and English. Across the enquiries we've received, Italian songs are requested more often than English songs. Mention your language preferences when you submit your enquiry.

Do we need to arrange a SIAE licence?

The SIAE licence is a legal requirement for live music at Italian weddings and is typically arranged by the venue, not the singer. We've put together a guide to the SIAE licence fee for weddings in Italy if your venue hasn't mentioned it.

Will the singer bring their own equipment?

Yes, most singers bring their own compact PA system, microphone and any necessary equipment. Some Italian venues have in-house sound systems, but not all are suitable for a live vocalist. If your venue requires a wireless microphone for the celebrant, some singers charge a small additional fee (around €150) for this.
