We've processed 62 enquiries for live wedding music in Macclesfield in the last 12 months. Heaton House Farm in Rushton Spencer is our most-enquired venue by some margin, with 11 enquiries for wedding bands.
Capesthorne Hall on the Congleton Road and Hilltop Country House in Prestbury are the next most popular.
The Macclesfield wedding scene has a distinctive thread running through it: couples repeatedly ask for Mumford and Sons-style folk-indie, Irish trad or a mix of the two.
Several enquiries mention one partner wanting indie or rock and the other wanting EDM or DJ sets, with bands bridging the gap by playing two live sets and DJing in between.
We've also seen Indian fusion weddings, Jewish weddings with Israeli dancing, and Oktoberfest-style wedding bookings at Sutton Hall. So mention your cultural or musical preferences when you enquire.

Most couples booking a band in Macclesfield want the same thing: two live sets in the evening with DJ music in between.
Some extend this to include a drinks reception set earlier in the day, often with a different act (an acoustic singer, string quartet or roaming band) before the full band takes over after dinner.
The bands quoting on Macclesfield enquiries range from solo acoustic acts at £500 to full showbands at £3,800.
One couple at Heaton House Farm told us:
"We were hoping to have a band for our wedding. We'd mainly be interested in Mumford and Sons style rock, indie and pop music."
Another at the same venue wanted "upbeat band to get the dance floor full — 2 families both with Irish heritage so also looking to mix Irish Rover, Fields of Athenry, Whisky in the Jar, but with a band that can also do more modern stuff." That mix of folk, indie and Irish is what makes Macclesfield enquiries different from nearby Manchester or Stockport.
Please Note: If you're planning a wedding, we recommend booking the band as soon as you secure your venue. Macclesfield wedding bands are highly sought after, and availability is limited during peak seasons.

You really took it to the next level and it was better than we could have ever dreamt!
Hi James, We wanted to write to thank you SO much for making our wedding so amazing!! You really took it to the next level and it was better than we could have ever dreamt! I’m sorry we didn’t get much time to actually chat on the night. But I am quite sure you will be requested back in Malta soon, we have had SO many people asking for your details and saying how great you all were :) Hope you enjoyed your little stay in Malta too! Thank you again, Lisa & Jonas.
They made our wedding and we could not have asked for more...
Cloud Nine performed an acoustic set during cocktails and a party set after dinner for our wedding at Pateo Alfacinha - they were just perfect! They were fun, they sounded beautiful, they were engaging with the crowd - the band is the single biggest element of our wedding that we have received compliments from people about. If you are in two minds about whether to book them - just do it. They made our wedding and we could not have asked for more. Thank you so much Cloud Nine!
Honestly incredible...
Honestly incredible. MOJO were fantastic from start to finish and the lead singer did an amazing job at getting everyone involved. We had so many compliments from guests on how good the band were. Was one of the best elements of our wedding!
They were amazing and had the party going from the first song!
Hi Joe, Please do pass on my thanks to the band last night. They were amazing and had the party going from the first song! Thanks for all of your help in arranging. I’ll definitely be recommending them and will have them in mind for any future events we do. Best regards, Lucy.
