Adam and Forever Diamonds could not have been more accommodating throughout! Always on had to schedule calls, and nothing was ever too much. Why Hire a Showband for Your Wedding or Event?
Our selection of UK show bands are the ultimate form of live musical entertainment. Luxury event planners and wedding planners turn to these bands when they need a reliable band to pull out all the stops for their client.

Each show band also has vast experience of performing at luxury Jewish weddings, both in the UK and across Europe.
How Much Does It Cost to Hire a Showband in the UK?
The starting price to hire a wedding showband for an event in the UK is usually around £5,000. The exact price will vary depending on the number of musicians and singers you book.
At the upper end, the cost to hire the most luxury UK showbands can be between £20,000 - £50,000.
One of the most popular size of showband is a 12-piece wedding band. This size of band usually allows for multiple singers, a horn section, as well as the usual guitars, drums and bass. Pretty much any other combination is possible: from 10-piece, 11-piece, 13-piece, 14-piece wedding bands – the options are endless.
Most showbands perform 2 x 60 minute live sets. In between and after the live sets, the band either provides a laptop playlist service or more commonly a DJ will hit the decks to keep the party pumping when the band isn't on stage. In the last couple of years, a very popular choice is to add a sax player and percussionist to perform alongside the DJ, effectively a showband with DJ live combination. In our opinion, that is the ultimate package for high-end weddings, as it both looks and sounds spectacular and is guaranteed to impress your guests.
If you're looking to elevate the showband's performance even further, you might want to hire a stage for the band to perform on. Most bands aren't able to provide their own stage, but there are plenty of specialist stage suppliers in the UK who work with our showbands frequently.
What Instruments Are Included in a Showband?
Each show band will offer different options and line-ups depending on what you require. Our showbands are more than happy to create bespoke arrangements for your event.
The usual line-up will be one or two singers (usually a mix of male and female singers), guitar, bass guitar, drums and keyboard. The next addition is often a horn section made up of sax, trumpet and possibly trombones.
The bands can add more singers, a string section (violins and cellos) and some even offer the option to add a full gospel choir.
These larger options are truly spectacular – both in look and sound. If you're really looking to wow your guests, then a 14-piece showband is guaranteed to blow them away. Our Gatsby showbands also feature dancers and other elements to put on the best show for you and your guests.
