Review of Mashup Kings (professional 5-8 piece R&B cover band based in Bristol) by Isabelle Andresen

"Mashup Kings played at our wedding and they were absolutely INCREDIBLE! To give you a sense of our wedding, we’re in our early 30s .. we had tipis in a campsite.. and loads of people there were really into music. We therefore spent ages looking for a band which would get all generations on the dance floor, who wouldn’t be cheesy and who would play a variety of styles of music. And we definitely made the right choice. Everyone danced all night long and had the best time ever! What we loved most about them (which made them unique) is their incredible mash ups… from a garage mash up to Stevie Wonder to pop and rock… just such a mix of amazing tunes and having them as mash ups means you get to hear about 3 times as many amazing tunes as normal! The band were all so lovely and super high energy. Benji was also extremely helpful in the run up and set up, as we borrowed some of his gear for the music after the band and during a song my husband did during the speeches. Thank you so much for everything Benji and the rest of the Mashup Kings crew!"

"Big Soul Beats were an incredible band for our wedding in Sussex on 2nd September 2023. The band arrived on time, had great communication beforehand, and had really thought about their playlist to suit our tastes. It was amazing how responsive they were to the audience, the lead guitarist was great at chatting to everyone dancing and they adapted songs based on kids being around which was so sweet of them. The way they remixed songs together was incredible, I wish we could buy an album of their sets from our wedding it was so perfect. The vocals were amazing and the sound quality was really great. The dance floor was full all night and loads of friends and family asked for their details, including one of the brides’ mums - I don’t know when she might be throwing a party but if so she’ll definitely be booking Big Soul Beats! They played our first dance live and it’s a moment I’ll never forget, so amazing. Thank you Big Soul Beats! Seriously book this band for your wedding or party - they were awesome!"

"Thank you so much for all you did in helping to organise Urban Dynamite for our wedding. They were everything we had hoped they would be and more! The set list was perfection - the most amazing mix of classics and modern stuff. I've been singing September on repeat since and I honestly thought I'd burst when they did their Crazy In Love / Thrift Shop mix and then Love Like This / Be Faithful. Just brilliant! We danced ALL night - and everyone agreed they were the best band anyone has ever heard at any party or wedding. We're torn between not wanting to share them and not wanting to miss out on the chance to hear them again... so we've landed on the latter and have recommended them to at least 3 couples who are getting married this year and next. Please pass on our ENORMOUS thanks to the band for bringing the ultimate party to our wedding. We had so much fun and loved every second of it."
