At Piperdam Leisure Resort, our most-enquired Dundee venue with 31 wedding enquiries, Hup quoted £2,115 inclusive for a wedding, covering PA, lighting, travel and accommodation. Their typical set runs 8pm to 9.30pm and 10pm to midnight, with a ceilidh set woven through if the couple wants it.
The Motherships have quoted similarly for other Dundee weddings, at £1,585 and £1,830 for comparable 8pm-to-midnight packages including a learned first dance. Not every Dundee venue has reliable equipment: one couple at The Maker on Perth Road noted the venue's PA "isn't great," so the band brought their own. Bands will ask about this before quoting.

Our venue has a sound limiter. Will that be a problem?
It depends on the band. Rhythm Royale told one Dundee client: "We are unable to play in venues with sound limiters, just so you are aware to check with the venue to make sure they don't have any in place." Forbes of Kingennie has a sound limiter set at 90 decibels for 10 seconds, and the power cuts off if exceeded. The venue says it does not usually cause issues, but some bands cannot work with limiters at all.
