Our enquiry data reveals a distinctive pattern among Hartlepool couples. Rather than grand country house weddings, most celebrate at village halls, community spaces or family homes, often with 50 to 100 guests. Several couples have described their weddings as "very laid back", with church ceremonies followed by receptions at the local village hall.
The music preferences stand out too. Folk-rock and Irish-inspired sounds are unusually popular here. One couple requested Mumford & Sons, Ed Sheeran and Dropkick Murphys for their 100-guest wedding. Another asked for a band in the style of Mumford & Sons and Stereophonics for their village hall reception. A third couple planned an R&B, house and soul setlist for their church wedding with a reception at the family home.
This is a different booking landscape from the larger Teesside cities. If you're planning a wedding in the wider area, see our pages for wedding bands in Darlington, wedding bands in Middlesbrough and wedding bands in Newcastle.
The Old School 90s Band were simply brilliant...
The Old School 90s Band were simply brilliant. They recently played at our wedding and were the best band a couple could ask for. From the moment they were booked, Thom was pleasant, courteous and above all fun. On the day they set up quickly and seamlessly with no fuss at all. Then the set, it was incredible. The dance floor was full throughout and everybody complimented that this was the best band they’d heard at a wedding. Thank you so much to Thom, Alice, Nana, Connor, Kaveh and Dan...you were amazing. Love, Max & Lulu.
You were all amazing, please pass this on to each member of the band
Hi Mark, just wanted to say a massive thank you for playing at both of our events. You were all amazing, please pass this on to each member of the band who played too. Everyone we have spoken to, have all said how professional and great the band were! Thank you for doing the additional final song, that really put the cherry on top of the cake for us! Both singers were absolutely fantastic too. We would definitely consider for the future and would recommend to anyone. Thank you again, Jacob, Sue and Max.
Professional musicians who made the whole room come alive...
We booked Groove Addiction to perform at our wedding party in December, and they were nothing short of exceptional. We loved every minute of their sets. Professional musicians who made the whole room come alive - a huge thank you for making the night extra special!
You really took it to the next level and it was better than we could have ever dreamt!
Hi James, We wanted to write to thank you SO much for making our wedding so amazing!! You really took it to the next level and it was better than we could have ever dreamt! I’m sorry we didn’t get much time to actually chat on the night. But I am quite sure you will be requested back in Malta soon, we have had SO many people asking for your details and saying how great you all were :) Hope you enjoyed your little stay in Malta too! Thank you again, Lisa & Jonas.
