“We just enjoyed a wonderful 50th party in a forest setting, where Ceilidh Twist played beautifully & professionally for our celebration. Having live music of this sort in a woodland worked really well and the guests were charmed by the musicians and the (very good looking) caller who kept everyone motivated and moving! The band even sorted out a spare mic so our daughter and her friend could sing a duet, and the sound system they provided played our playlist of dance music for the last bit of the night. Lots of laughs and a magical evening all in all, the guests loved the ceilidh dancing, thank you so much.”
“We hired The London Ceilidh band for an anniversary party that we wanted to ensure maximum participation. The communication from the first engagement was excellent which gave us real comfort that our needs were understood. On the night the band were great musically (although I'm no expert) ensuring some great up beat tunes to ensure everybody joined in. The calling was clear and well targeted ensuring novices could enjoy the dances. I would definitely recommend the band if you are looking for an evening of fun.”
“Karl and Harvest Moon put on one of the best ceilidhs both myself and my wife have ever been to for our wedding. We instantly got a good feeling from them during our pre event catch up as we felt they listened to our personal preferences and tailored their set to be exactly what we wanted, including agreeing to learn a new song to play for our first dance. During the show they brought an incredible atmosphere, where hardly a single person was left off the dance floor. Not only are they very talented musicians, but they were also incredibly patient with our slightly clueless friends and family most of whom it was their first ceilidh. Everyone had an amazing time, and I'm sure we'll be talking about the ceilidh for years, I couldn't recommend them more. Many thanks, Alexa.”
“We had Paragon Ceilidh Band at our wedding and I would thoroughly recommend them. They were great at communicating before the event and made our party so much fun. Our guests loved the ceilidhs and they read the crowd brilliantly to determine when to do a ceilidh and when to do a cover. Thanks so much Paragon, you were fab!”
“Thank you for a fantastic evening at Notley Barn - the music was great and really brought everyone together. The evening went far too quickly!”
“Keep Calm and Ceilidh were amazing at the wedding of my granddaughter. On my first enquiry, Mick was reassuring, efficient and undemanding. The evening was just great fun…guests of all ages (2 years old to grannies of 83 years) dancing. Mary, the caller, was encouraging, patient and instructed us all. Their musicians were talented, thoughtful and lovely. I would definitely recommend for any events. They made the evening reception so enjoyable and with much laughter. Wishing them good luck and happiness, Ginny Hayes.”
“We booked Ceilidh Twist to play at our wedding and they were absolutely fantastic. The music was wonderful and the calling was very clear - particularly for our guests who had never done a ceilidh before. All the 'admin' and correspondence leading up to the wedding was smooth, and we received responses very quickly. Highly recommended.”
“We could not be happier with Ramnee. Tom was super clear in his calling and lovely and patient with a lot of first-time ceilidh dancers at our wedding. He was also so friendly, relaxed and accommodating to slightly revised schedules on the day. Our guests loved the ceilidh and the band sounded great. Couldn't recommend you more!”
“Hi Ali, We had an amazing wedding and amazing ceilidh! Please find attached some photos, feel free to use them for whatever. Our guests LOVED it! Thanks.”
“Ceilidh Twist were the hit of our wedding! We were all complete beginners - the caller took us through the steps at the start of each dance to make sure everyone knew what they were doing and then the music started in earnest! It was so much fun and we got so many compliments on it - thank you for bringing so much joy to our wedding! Georgia & Alex.”
“Dear Tad, Thank you very much for doing the ceili at our wedding. We had a great time and lots of people fed back that they really enjoyed it. Best wishes.”
“Ramnee Ceilidh Band recently played at my 50th birthday party and I can’t recommend them highly enough. From the initial booking Tom was so professional and always so patient and helpful with my endless questions. Any correspondence was answered very quickly. On the day of the party Tom arrived at the venue with lots of time to spare. I had chosen a four piece, guitar, fiddle, drums and accordion, the entire band were simply excellent and they looked so good with their traditional kilts. As the caller, Tom explained all the dancing techniques in a way that was easy to follow which was excellent as there were a lot of people who weren’t familiar with the dances. I would definitely book the Ramnee Ceilidh & Covers Band again and would recommend them to anyone looking for a highly skilled, professional band for their Ceilidh.”

We also have a hand-picked selection of modern ceilidh covers bands for hire who add drums, electric guitar, electric violin and vocals to the mix, and are able to perform contemporary pop covers in the ceilidh style, as well as related hybrid forms such as English folk music, folk rock, Irish rock and traditional Americana and country music.
Old-time American barn dances are proving increasingly popular with FixTheMusic’s clients, and very much suit the rise of rustic and natural wedding receptions.
Alongside barn dancing and country music, our ceilidh bands also cater to line dancing, northeastern rants and other folk-related dance forms such as the Irish stepdance and set dancing. Of course, traditional Scottish ceilidh bands are the most popular option for weddings in the UK, so we list a hand-picked selection of the finest Scottish ceilidh bands South East England can offer.
Many of our musicians graduated from local universities and music colleges in the area and have extensive gigging experience at nearby venues, as well as across the rest of the UK.
