Having live music of this sort in a woodland worked really well and the guests were charmed by the musicians and the (very good looking) caller who kept everyone motivated and moving! “We booked Willow Ceilidh Band (as a three piece band and then disco with all the lights and gizmos) for our wedding in Buckinghamshire in October 2019 and they were fantastic. They were great at communicating in advance, and were really amenable when we made quite specific requests for our first dance, even down to adapting tempo and length for us. On the day, they arrived in plenty of time to set up...and then waited patiently as our wedding breakfast ran over by nearly an hour. They were really relaxed about adapting the planned sets to the time that was left and as soon as they started to play we were delighted with our choice of band - their sound was wonderful, and if you like Aly Bain, Phil Cunningham, etc., you will love their style. The caller was clear and our dance floor was full of dancers from all age groups for the entire ceilidh. After the ceilidh, Aidan took over as DJ and the disco lights went on, and he not only agreed to put his ears through our 1.5 hour list of ultimate cheesy hits of the 80s and 90s, but also kept the dance floor filled right up until midnight and didn't do any annoying talk-over as we've heard at some other parties! :) In short, we highly recommend them!
